Welcoming Family In...

It was a slow day today.  I mainly stayed around the resort, did a bit of sunbathing and relaxing.  I knew my BFFs were coming in.  I went down to the lobby around 4:15 because I wasn't sure when they would arrive.  Every time someone new walked in, my head popped up to see..nope, not them.

A group came in that was large and I didn't see them, so I kept playing my game. No worries.  But then I hear R's voice and my head pops up ...seems he saw me sitting there but didn't see me...know what I mean?  It was so awesome to welcome them in.  We checked out their crib and got them situated, and then headed to my crib for tequila shots and beer chasers.  After a day of traveling, I knew they needed it.  Down they went....

Then we headed back to their room and grabbed margaritas on the way. We sucked those down and knew that dinner would be needed or else!  So I took them to Leo's.  I had the tacos...just love those.  K had the Shrimp and cheese and R had the Camerones Diabla (devil shrimp, hot).  They greeted us with the cup of soup and shots of mezcal. And when R's food came out, we didn't realize that the shrimp were not shelled....note to self, ask them beforehand to make sure.  But we just didn't know, so...

I think dinner went over well, and we headed back to the resort.  K gave me a new swimsuit which I changed into for the pool and in we went.  It was so cool and refreshing.  However, we ended up drinking another margarita...and needless to say, we ended up back in our rooms around a quarter to 10.  I felt ok, but one of us didn't fare as well.  I am a crappy wingman!  Ah well.  A new day awaits!
