Today was all about getting some sun and playing on the beach. We decided on Playa la Ropa. I had a breakfast of scrambled eggs, onions and garlic, put on my suit, packed my bag and headed out.

I started walking, got through Playa del Puerto, and Playa la Madera but couldn't figure out how to walk to Playa la Ropa. Boy, it was hot and I was pounding the pavement. Came across this cool clock tower that was chiming, so I had total a picture. Turns out that I wasn't too far off the mark, but I hailed a taxi for the last part of the journey.

My friends had reserved a couple of umbrellas, and some lounge chairs and they even ordered me a margarita. It was a nice welcome. However, in trying to get situated, I ended up spilling the margarita all over the sand. Ah well. The place was called La Perla and they also had some rockin food. I ordered some raw fish slices in lime, my friends had the chicken tacos and grilled octopus. It was totally delicious.
The ocean was nice and we ended up getting in a couple of times. There was this nice older lady that we met. She had a tight body and an effervescent spirit. We had noticed her earlier and commented. Well, we actually met her in the water, and wow! She's was just so cool. 64 years of age and totally enjoying the later years of her life.

We go back and start packing up. We walked along the beach and my friends showed me where the staircase is at the end of beach...kind of hidden, but now I know the way if I want to walk the route. We stopped at an Italian Restaurant to make reservations and the views from this place is stunning! We'll be dining there on Wednesday, but I got to snap a couple of pictures. Holy Moly!

We headed back into town, made plans for dinner and I walked back to the resort. I decided to take a cab to dinner so I would arrive on time and not sweaty from walking. Getting a cab took awhile, and they charged me 130 pesos. The ride back from my friends place was only 60 pesos, so I know this guy totally gouged me. Ah well.

The restaurant is called Las Adelitas and they grill here. My friends ordered the lobster, while I had the Arrachera (flank steak). I also ordered a caprese salad and a lemonade. The salad (slices of tomato, with mozzarella cheese and a basil olive oil dollop on top) was delicious. The steak was great as well, plus it came with a baked potato and veggies (squash, carrots, etc). I know my steak was 180 pesos, I forgot what the salad and lemonade were. We had a dessert of Lemon Pie, which was really great as well.

We sat underneath this tree that had these awesome blooms. Flowers only bloom in the evening (started around 7:30) and it unfolds in slow motion. Really unusual looking and gorgeous. After dinner, I picked up some leche (milk) for my coffee and made the journey home.
