Addendum

So I made my snack using my griddle, cleaned up and headed into town. I hadn't seen my favorite bartender yet so I was really excited.

Arturo

As soon as I walk in, he looks up and says "Dorice" how are you my friend.  He gets bonus points for remembering my name.  Granted, most hispanics down here never pronounce the 'A' in my name, so as far as I'm concerned, he remembered it!  I love Arturo!!

Had a margarita, and then a guy bought me another.  Said I was waiting too long for a replacement.  How awesome is that?  One of the little kids came up and was selling the magnets, so I bought a lobster to keep company with my crab at home.  I buy one at the beginning of the trip, and then, every time I head in to town, I have it with me.  When kids come up asking me to buy them, I pull mine out and tell them I already have one, and they leave me alone.  Perfect!

While I was sipping on my second, the guitarist was playing the Eagles and I started singing.  So he stood beside me and played while I sang.  Granted, I was singing low at first, but he forced me to belt it.  I didn't get booed, so that's a good thing.  Next thing I know, his wife Joyce shows up and we have ourselves a hell of a singsong.  She told me where to get the best posole verde, so I'm looking forward to trying it out.  I'll let you know.

I left the bar at 9:30 and walked home.  Uneventful, but a workout...always good.  When I enter through the lobby, the girl behind the desk says "I remember you from last year...welcome back".  Really?  Am I that memorable?  Did I dance naked on a table and conveniently forget about it?

Oh well, it is nice to be remembered...I just hope its for the right reasons.  Until tomorrow peeps!
