Today was a low key day. If you notice, I'm kind of a "one day on/one day off" kind of girl.
I remembered when I ex-husband and I first got our WorldMark in 1996, we used the free certificate to go to Puerto Vallarta. We had never travelled abroad, so we spent every day doing stuff, excursions, trips, hiking, etc. When the week was over and we got home, we were so tired that we needed a vacation from vacation...that didn't happen of course. So I took my sorry butt into work the next day and toughed it out. After that...we knew better.
I basically puttered around the resort, swam, and read my Sammy Hagar book "Red" which was a fun read. It went to fast though...I should've made it last longer. Thank you to my co-workers for getting it for me.
The maid came in and did a mini-clean of my room. She replaced the towels and bedding and did a light cleaning. She was awesome. It's so nice to have a fresh room and that's only after being here 4 days. Luckily, I don't have to worry about housekeeping fees, but it's nice to know that they take care of you here.
The ice machine is a few steps away, and that is filtered, so no worries there. The restaurant is one flight below me. It's ok. A little pricy for my taste and budget, but the food is decent. Just be careful of your kicked up drinks...just sayin.
Tomorrow is Super Bowl, so I'm meeting some friends in town to watch it. After the cool move by the Falcons to have a member of the Armed Forces (that we've lost) on their helmets, I'm rooting for them. Gee...I hope this doesn't mess up my friends football pool....
