I took a refreshing shower and changed my clothes and headed back to my friends room with some lime, and my Bose for some music. We had a great time hanging out with some guacamole, tequila, beer and great company. The great thing about this couple is that they're family...and I can laugh with them and not have to worry that I'm being judged or they'd take something wrong.
Yeah, I know you're not interested in my stems but...I am getting tan! |
I made reservations in advance for Il Mare for my friends. I couldn't get Valentines Day cuz it was totally booked, but I did do the day after. I tried to get them to go...just the two of them, but they just weren't having it. Really??? I reserve the most romantic place in Zihuatanejo for you two...guaranteed a great view, awesome time, and some "Special" time after you get back, and you won't go without me??? That, my friends, is humbling love.
Not only did I get to go with them...but they paid my way! OMG!!! So I tried to reciprocate by paying for the cab rides, etc. But hey...I KNOW I got the better deal. I didn't want to get the same dish as last time (see prior post) so I ordered the special which was a tortolini with ham, mushrooms, in a alfredo sauce. My friends got the tuna and spinach, and dish I had last time...the farfalle with the two different kinds of salmon. I think my dish was the bigger hit. We all shared it and totally enjoyed it. Which was totally cool cuz my friend gave me her leftover farfalle, so who was the big winner? Yeah, that would be me!!!
We headed downtown afterward and visited my friend Arturo, got a couple of drinks and just enjoyed the evening. Not all of us was drinking alcohol, but you don't need alcohol to have a great time in Zihuatanejo. If you do...there's a problem. This place is awesome without alcohol. The people, the food, the sights, the air, the ocean. It's all good.
We headed back to our resort for a swim and to end the evening. Once again, I'm reminded how blessed I truly am.
