Well, it seems we've all had our issues this week. I think R's might have been a touch of food poisoning. We know mine was fever and congestion. And now K's been down all day. Had to get her some Pedialyte, sports drinks and medicine. So we pretty much stayed around the resort all day.
No biggie. This resort is self contained. Last year, the food choices and prices didn't impress me. But this year, it seems like everything I've eaten here has been good and reasonable. I've had the roasted beet salad with goat cheese and balsamic dressing; the fresh tuna with soy (really good if ya wanna get your sushi on). It had really big pieces of thick cut tuna, and I want to say there was about 8 slices for $5.64 (115 pesos). And I had the linguine with prosciutto and mushroom..again, really good, a healthy portion, just the right amount of sauce and cheese...yum. I don't think you'll be disappointed either.
I learned a trick for all you WorldMarkers out there. The fridge has this key that doesn't come out, and when you try to open the fridge, you have to twist the key while doing it. If you open the door, the key area is covered by a black box. Pull the box toward you and turn it 180 degrees and put it back. It will keep that latch from engaging...just in case your hands are full...right?
So I've just been keeping up on my Facebook, texting, etc. It's been an overcast day, warm...but not too warm. I don't mind that at all. One gorgeous sunset and it's another day done in Zihua.
