Shopping

On the north side of downtown are a row of stalls where you can purchase all kinds of souvenirs and fun things. It's across the street from Bandidos, where we watched the Super Bowl.  I picked up a couple of fans and looked for a Zihua sticker, while my friend purchased some shirts, etc.

We then headed to a place for some frozen fruit margaritas.  It used to be called Tatas, but has changed ownership.  We had some blackberry margaritas and Mango ones.  Nice and cold.  For some reason, today was hotter than usual and I had sweat pouring from all over.

We sat under the awning and watched the ocean, while enjoying our chips and guacamole.  I ordered some ceviche and asked that no tomato be put in it (well, my friend had fun with her Spanish and assisted).  It was pretty good.  Why be in a place where there's all this fresh fish and not enjoy it..right?

Afterwards, we parted ways, and I headed to the market to pick up a couple of things.  Ended up with some really awesome huge radishes along with a bag of limes for 20 pesos, and some more queso and carnitas.  Walking around in that enclosed market was stifling.  I could feel the sweat dripping and know that I needed something cold. So I visited Arturo on my way home.

I met 3 nice ladies and a gentlemen from Minnesota.  Very friendly.  They just flew in for a two week stay, so we had some fun laughing and getting to know one another.  That is the cool thing about Zihuatanejo...people are friendly...even outsiders on vacation.  Everyone just seems to drop their veneers and just be...  I really like that.

After my nice cold beer I began the long walk home where I promptly put on a bathing suit and headed for the pool.  I can't think of a better way to top the day.
